Anita and Brent’s story began in 2022 thanks to a mutual connection, Mario, proof that friendship (and podcasting!) really can change your life. Brent met Mario through the podcasting world, while Anita knew him from Jazz Kitchen, and somehow those two paths crossed at exactly the right time. Brent started stalking Anita’s instagram and Anita started flirting with Brent on Twitter.

What started as conversations quickly turned into something deeper, even though they were living on opposite sides of the country, Brent in Ohio and Anita in California. Long distance didn’t slow them down. Instead, it meant months of flying back and forth, spending weeks together at a time, and turning every visit into a memory and adventure. Those early days were filled with travel, laughter, and the kind of memories that made it impossible to imagine life any other way.

Eventually, Anita made one thing clear: they needed to be together for real. And Brent, without hesitation, chose love. He packed up his life in Ohio and moved to California to start their next chapter side by side.

While California is home now, Ohio will always hold a special place in their hearts. Brent’s family means the world to both of them, and they make it a point to visit every year. Even better, so many loved ones from Ohio have come out to California to see the life Anita and Brent have built together and their support has meant everything.

Today, their life is full of shared (and sometimes lovingly forced) hobbies. Brent introduces Anita to endless movies, Anita convinces Brent to try foods he’s never even heard of, and they happily embrace each other’s interests; whether that means gaming, reading, or cheering each other on in whatever comes next.

They are endlessly grateful for the unexpected ways life brought them together and can’t wait to see what the future holds. Starting with celebrating their love with all of you.
